Termites

Subterranean termites cause billions of dollars in structural damage every year—and most of it happens quietly out of sight inside your walls. Safeguard your home with our specialized termite barriers and renewal guarantees.

Signs to look for

  • Pencil-sized mud tubes running along concrete foundation walls, crawl space piers, or siding.
  • Hollow-sounding, soft, or easily punctured wood near door frames, baseboards, and subflooring.
  • Discarded translucent insect wings left on window sills, door frames, or patio floors in spring.
  • Tight-fitting doors or stuck windows caused by wood swelling from termite moisture accumulation.
01

Why do I have a termite problem?

Subterranean termites live in massive underground colonies. They continuously search for cellulose—the organic material found in wood, paper, and cardboard. Warm soil, moisture around foundation footings, and direct wood-to-soil contact create ideal conditions for subterranean termites to tunnel into your home.

02

Where will I find termites?

Termites usually remain hidden beneath ground level or inside structural timbers. You are most likely to spot signs of activity in crawl spaces, around concrete slabs, near plumbing penetrations, behind garage framing, and around wooden porch steps.

03

Termite Identification & Swarmers

Knowing what you are looking at helps us tailor the treatment.

  • Worker Termites: Small (1/8"), creamy white, soft-bodied insects that chew wood 24/7.
  • Termite Swarmers (Reproductives): Dark brown/black winged termites that emerge in warm spring weather to establish new colonies. Often mistaken for flying ants, but termites have straight antennae, equal-length wings, and broad waists.

High-risk regional conditions

Warm, humid weather combined with moist soil gives subterranean termite colonies the ideal environment to thrive year-round. An undetected colony can feed on structural support beams for years before visible damage appears.

05

Are termites dangerous?

Termites do not bite, sting, or transmit diseases to humans or pets. However, they are extremely dangerous to the structural integrity and financial stability of your property, capable of causing costly wood damage that standard home insurance policies rarely cover.

06

How we treat it

We begin with a thorough inspection of your foundation, crawl space, and attic. Based on our findings, we apply liquid termiticide soil barriers, strategic baiting stations, or a combination of both—backed by an annual inspection and re-treatment warranty.

Prevention Tips for Homeowners

  • 1Divert water away from your foundation with clean gutters, long downspouts, and proper grading.
  • 2Maintain a minimum 6-inch gap between soil/mulch beds and wooden siding or trim.
  • 3Fix plumbing leaks, crawl space dampness, and dripping hose bibbs promptly.
  • 4Avoid stacking firewood, mulch, or scrap lumber directly against exterior foundation walls.
